About Clare Hanham-Clensy
Clare Hanham-Clensy studied a three year apprenticeship at the Royal School of Needlework, learning her craft in the medieval home of King Henry VIII, Hampton Court Palace, in London.
During her time at the palace she learnt a range of embroidery techniques including restoration, regimental embroidery, church work, silk shading, gold work, white work, stumpwork, crewel work and canvas work, among others.

Clare takes on individual commissions, work for churches, antique dealers and dress designers alongside her busy teaching schedule.

She is also available to give fun, interesting and informative talks and demonstrations of her work.
Since graduating Clare has given talks to groups ranging from sewing guilds and church groups to Women's Institutes across the south-west.

Vine Embroidery has a spacious studio at Marsh Farm, Hilperton just four miles from Bradford-on-Avon where classes are held and materials are for sale.
